We have IPMA-certified project managers. IPMA, the International Project Management Association, is an umbrella organization for project management associations throughout the world. IPMA certification is not a training program but rather a validation of already existing knowledge. It is a validation of competence that is internationally recognized.
C4 Contexture works according to a project model to have a consistent project language and quality-assured implementation of projects. The model consists of three phases – Definition, Establishment and Execution – that run throughout the project like a silver thread.
As a first step, it is important to establish the scope of the project and how it should be implemented step by step. A proposed solution, a prototype and a recommendation for introduction should be developed during the Definition phase. The emphasis is on identifying and verifying the customer’s processes, data inputs and outputs and other information necessary to ensure that needs and wishes are addressed. A test or basic installation of the solution is presented.
In the next phase, Establishment, development begins with the goal of delivering a configured solution. The customer gives the final approval.
Finally, all the planning is taken care of before the start of operations: documentation, training, subsequent support requirements and administration of the solution. In many projects, we identify future developmental needs that have emerged and become new requirements during the course of the project.

What Øglænd System has to say
Øglænd Systems Group is an international organization and the leading supplier in the Norwegian market of multidiscipline support systems, cable trays and cable ladders. The transition to C4 was a challenging project over a three-year period. Since 60,000 products were involved, a great deal of information, specifications, photos and drawings had to be managed. Now that the project has been completed, Øglænd has achieved greater efficiency, and the company is in complete control of its product information.
The project managers from C4 Contexture became central figures in the transition. C4 managed the project and trained Øglænd in how to use the solution. Today Øglænd has complete control and manages C4 on its own. Øglænd gives C4 Contexture Project Manager Mats Waleij a large share of the credit for the fact that the company has arrived at this point and the project has gone so well.
“We have worked with many outside project managers and are extremely positive about Mats’s contributions,” says Peter Heide, who heads one of Øglænd’s R&D departments. “He is a certified project manager and that became evident. When you have a global company and such a large volume of work, it’s easy for things to get out of hand. Bademiljø is Norway’s largest heating, ventilation and sanitation engineering chain, with about 120 associated companies throughout the country, many with their own stores. Together, these companies offer over 80,000 different products through Bademiljø’s combined range of products. Bademiljø now has a solution from C4 Contexture that is long-term and that has increased the quality of its product data. The company also has a media bank that facilitates work with product information. These step have opened up new opportunities, including e-commerce and an online product catalog.
